- The Accelerated Nursing Program (ACCEL) provides a route for students who want to make a career change into nursing by earning a second bachelor’s degree.

Program Name: Direct Entry Nursing (MS)
Program Duration: The full-time, pre-licensure segment is 16 months (4 semesters) of classes and clinicals.

Program Features:
- Northeastern’s direct entry nursing program allows you to use the degree and experience that you already have and leverage it into a master’s degree in Nursing. You will not earn another bachelor’s degree.
- The program consists of two portions:
1. The first 16 months is devoted to nursing-specific classes (undergraduate and graduate levels) including clinical rotations to meet the requirements for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
2. The remaining time (up to four years) is spent on the masters/graduate portion of the course where students begin the specialty track in the area of their choice, either in Nursing Administration( MS or MS/MBA), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult or Neonatal), Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (adult/older adult, family, pediatric or acute pediatric), or Psychiatric Mental Health (CNS/NP) child/adolescent or adult.

Program Features:
- The Direct Entry Program in Advanced Nursing Practice is designed to prepare individuals with a baccalaureate degree but without nursing backgrounds for the advanced practice nursing role,with the focus on family nurse practitioner.
